WFAE's recent Public Conversation on "The Dad Factor" addressed the topic of fatherhood in the 21st century, the role of fathers in family and community life, the issue of "missing dads", and more. Several forum attendees also raised issues involving child custody matters, and the challenges that some divorced dads face in having access to their children. One organization that focuses on these custody and "shared parenting" issues is "Kids Interest Equals Dual Support".
Hi, I am the Vice President of Kids Interest Equals Dual Support, and we welcome any and all who are interested in becoming part of the solution to the current adversarial environment in Family Courts today. We have several bills in congress to address the issue of preserving children's relationship with BOTH parents after divorce. Why should one parent become a visitor and the children be made to suffer the loss of that parent? Let's learn to work together for the best interests of the children. The BEST parent is BOTH parents! http://www.kidsinterestequalsdualsupport.org/
